Gawd, I love that plane! It was designed by North American Aviation with the planform of wings and tail of their P-51, but mated to a trainer fuselage. That big, round engine coughs up blue-white oil smoke and convulsively stutters when it starts but, afterwards, there is so much power! In a dive, it is as fast as a Mustang... and in its COIN (Counter-Insurgency) form it was one helluva weapons system for the time.
